On May 27, the Tianzhushan Greater Bay Area Cultural and Tourism Promotion Conference was held in Zhuhai. Officials from the Zhuhai Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, the Anqing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and the Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Association attended and delivered remarks. Nearly 50 leading travel agencies from Zhuhai and Macao gathered at the event to explore cooperation opportunities in regional cultural and tourism resources. The following day, on May 28, the Tianzhushan Cultural and Tourism Promotion Fair in Foshan was successfully launched, attracting more than 100 local tourism enthusiasts. The atmosphere on site was lively and engaging, as participants learned in detail about scenic attractions, travel routes, and preferential tourism policies, while actively inquiring about travel plans and adding momentum to cultural and tourism exchanges between Anhui and Guangdong.

The promotion activities focused on Tianzhushan as the central theme, offering a comprehensive introduction to its high-quality cultural and tourism resources. As a national 5A tourist attraction and a UNESCO Global Geopark, Tianzhushan is renowned for its distinctive granite peak-forest landforms, where extraordinary peaks, unique rocks, seas of clouds, and secluded caves combine in remarkable harmony. High in the mountains lies Alchemy Lake, whose clear waters create a magnificent landscape where mountains and lake scenery merge into one. The region also combines bold natural beauty with profound cultural heritage. The cliff inscriptions at Valley Spring Cultural Park preserve literary traces spanning a thousand years, while the culture of the ancient Wan region continues to flourish. It is a destination suitable not only for mountain hiking and wellness vacations, but also for cultural study tours and leisurely travel, perfectly meeting the diverse travel preferences of visitors from the Greater Bay Area. This promotion also integrated surrounding attractions, including the Culture Expo 5000y and Huating Lake, creating premium routes that combine mountain climbing, lake touring, and cultural experiences, which have been warmly received by the market.

During the Zhuhai promotion conference, guests from all sides engaged in in-depth discussions on collaborative development. Representatives from Zhuhai’s cultural and tourism sector noted that travelers from Zhuhai and Macao show a strong preference for mountain-and-water wellness trips and long-stay cultural travel products, making Tianzhushan’s resource advantages highly compatible with market demand. The Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Association expressed plans to integrate business and tourism resources from Hong Kong and Macao to develop customized study-tour and business-travel routes, thereby broadening channels for visitor exchange. The Anqing cultural and tourism authorities, supported by a convenient transportation network, introduced cross-regional group-tour support policies and proposed a long-term cooperation mechanism for reciprocal visitor exchange among Anhui, Guangdong, and Macao. Meanwhile, representatives from Tianzhushan Tourism stated that Tianzhushan will continue to optimize exclusive reception services for visitors from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, upgrade group-tour incentives, and refine outdoor and wellness-themed routes, while sincerely inviting tourism professionals from the Greater Bay Area to visit and conduct on-site inspections.

At the Zhuhai venue, many travel agencies carefully reviewed Tianzhushan’s tourism products and support policies, and engaged in detailed discussions on route design, visitor exchange, and group-tour cooperation, reaching multiple preliminary cooperation intentions on site. At the Foshan roadshow, tourism enthusiasts participated actively, and many local residents expressed strong interest in visiting Tianzhushan. This series of promotional activities broke away from the traditional model of promoting a single scenic spot. By relying on Tianzhushan as a flagship tourism IP, it integrated regional cultural and tourism resources and helped transform the strengths of an individual attraction into broader regional brand competitiveness.

Connected by mountains and seas, and sharing a common cultural lineage. The Zhuhai promotion conference and Foshan roadshow together have built a platform for deeper cooperation between Anqing and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Going forward, all sides will continue to promote mutual visitor exchange, joint route development, and coordinated brand marketing, allowing the magnificent scenery of Tianzhushan to become better known across the Greater Bay Area, attracting more visitors to Anqing to climb Tianzhushan, experience the beauty of Anhui’s mountains and waters, and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of the Jianghuai region.
